The Historic Film Festival of Annonay!
Located in the Rhône-Alpes region, in the north of the Ardèche department of France, the town and commune of Annonay is very famous for its film festival called the “Festival du Premier Film.” Some talented film directors such as Tsai Ming Liang, Omirbaev and Yan Sverak were discovered in this festival. In addition, the town and its surroundings offer visitors many great activities and tourism destinations. If you love nature, you will surely enjoy the beautiful landscapes and wildlife that this region has to offer. For example, visiting the Pilat Nature Reserve as well as the Monts d’Ardèche Nature Reserve is a “must do.”
Built on the hill overlooking the gathering of the deep gorges of the Cance and the Deûme, the town has enough water to provide power to their factories. Also, Annonay is known as the hometown of many investors such as the Montgolfier brothers who created the hydraulic ram and the aerostats. They were the first to fly a hot-air balloon.
