Marcq-en-Baroeul
France, officially the French Republic, is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and comprises various overseas islands and territories which are located in other regions. Metropolitan France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Sea and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. At 674,843 square kilometres, France is the world's 40th-largest country after Myanmar. France is a member of The European Union and Paris is the capital of this nation. The sole official language of France is French. Since prehistoric times, France has been a crossroads of trade, migrations, and invasions. Marcq-en-Baroeul is a community in the departement of Nord and the Nord-Pas de Calais region of France. It is a suburb of the city of Lille and is adjacent to it on the northeast. It is the sixth biggest component of the metropolitan Urban Community of Lille Metropole. In the 1999 poll, Marcq-en-Baroeul had a population of 37,177 and an area of 14.04 square kilometers. Nord is a departement in the north of France. In population terms, it is France's largest. Nord comprises the French parts of the County of Flanders, excluding the western parts separated in 1237 as the County of Artois and now part of the neighbouring Pas-de-Calais, and Hainault. This region was part of the Spanish Netherlands, but was ceded to France in successive treaties 1659, 1668, and 1678.
A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Marcq-en-Baroeul is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
