Joue-les-Tours
France, officially the French Republic, is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and comprises various overseas islands and territories which are located in other regions. Metropolitan France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Sea and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. At 674,843 square kilometers, France is the world's 40th-largest country after Myanmar. France is a member of The European Union and Paris is the capital of this nation. The sole official language of France is French. Since prehistoric times, France has been a crossroads of trade, migrations, and invasions. Joue-les-Tours is a commune in the department of Indre-et-Loire and the Centre region of France. It is the largest suburb of the city of Tours and is adjacent to it on the southwest. In the 1999 census, Joue-les-Tours had a population of 36,517 people. Indre-et-Loire is a department in west-central France named after the Indre and the Loire rivers. Indre-et-Loire was one of the original 83 departments created during the French Revolution on March 4, 1790. It was created from the former province of Touraine. Indre-et-Loire is part of the current region of Centre Val de Loire and is surrounded by the departments of Loir-et-Cher, Indre, Vienne, Maine-et-Loire and Sarthe. Presently, Joue-les-Tours experiences a sharp social, economic and population growth derivative of the strategic position of the locality and the high level of well-being and quality of life that is enjoyed with respect to other places of France. Joue-les-Tours, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers and is one of the most visited place.
