Hyeres




France, officially the French Republic, is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and comprises various overseas islands and territories which are located in other regions. Metropolitan France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Sea and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. At 674,843 square kilometers, France is the world's 40th-largest country after Myanmar. France is a member of The European Union and Paris is the capital of this nation. The sole official language of France is French. Since prehistoric times, France has been a crossroads of trade, migrations, and invasions.
 
Hyeres is a town and commune in the southeast of France, in the Var department, located at about 15 kilometers far away from the eastern part of Toulon. Its position facing the Mediterranean to the south makes it a popular location for tourism in the winter and facilitates the raising of palm trees about 100,000 trees are exported from the area each year. The three islands of the Iles d'Hyeres, namely Porquerolles, Port-Cros and the Ile du Levant, are located just offshore.
 
Hyeres was the birthplace Jean Baptiste Massillon, a churchman and preacher. American novelist Edith Wharton wintered in Hyeres annually from 1919 until her death in 1937. Hyeres is twinned with Rottweil in Germany.
 
Hyeres is a city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages. Hyeres is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
