Epinay-sur-Seine is a town in the northern suburban region of Paris in France. It is situated 7 miles from the center of Paris and is one of the most heavily populated cities in Europe. On August 7, 1850, a portion of the region of Epinay-sur-Seine was separated and combined with a part of the territory of Deuil-la-Barre. A part of the area of Saint-Gratien and a territory of Soisy-sous-Montmorency created the commune of Enghien-les-Bains.
Epinay-sur-Seine is served by Epinay-sur-Seine station on the Paris railway line. It is also served by Epinay Villetaneuse station on the Transilien Paris Nord suburban rail line. Seine-Saint-Denis is a French department situated in the Ile-de-France region. In local language, it is called le neuf trios, the nine three after an official administrative number.
