Colomiers is a commune in the department of Haute-Garonne and the Midi-Pyrenees region of France. It is the largest suburb of the city of Toulouse and is adjacent to it on the west side. Thus, it is a member of the metropolitan Community of Agglomeration of Greater Toulouse. According to the 1999 census, Colomiers had a population of 28,538 people. Haute-Garonne is a department in the southwest of France named after the Garonne river.
