Cergy
France, officially the French Republic, is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and comprises various overseas islands and territories which are located in other regions. Cergy is a community in the northwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 27.8 kilometers from the center of Paris, in the new city of Cergy-Pontoise and created in the 1960s, of which it is the central and most populated community. Though neighboring Pontoise is the official capital of the Val-d'Oise department, the capital building and administration, as well as the department council general, are located inside the community of Cergy, which is regarded as the de facto capital of Val-d'Oise.
