Bruay-la-Buissiere is a commune of the Pas-de-Calais department and the Nord-Pas de Calais region in northern France. It belongs to the Communaute d'agglomeration de l'Artois, which gathers 58 communes and has a total population of approximately 200,000. In the 1999 census, Bruay-la-Buissiere had a population of 23,998, making it the second-largest member commune of the agglomeration, after Bethune.
