Albi
France, officially the French Republic, is a country whose metropolitan territory is located in Western Europe and comprises various overseas islands and territories which are located in other regions. Metropolitan France extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the English Channel and the North Sea, and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. At 674,843 square kilometres, France is the world's 40th-largest country after Myanmar. France is a member of The European Union and Paris is the capital of this nation. The sole official language of France is French. Since prehistoric times, France has been a crossroads of trade, migrations, and invasions. Albi is a town and commune in southern France. It is the prefecture of the Tarn department, and is located on the Tarn River, 50 miles northeast of Toulouse. Its inhabitants are called Albigensians. Albi is the chief town of 6 cantons, covering 18 communes, with a total population of 67,728. Albi is a well known city for its elite Lycee Laperouse, a high school with 500 students situated inside an old monastery. The Lycee is one of the best in the region Midi Pyrenees and boasts several litterature classes. Furthermore, it is one of the few holding a full scale music section with special high tech rooms for this section.
